grey's - give peace a chance
An enjoyable episode of Grey's? I almost don't know what to do with myself.
So yeah. The Derek episode. ALL DEREK ALL THE TIMEEEEE. It was really nice to see him finally getting his own storyline. Especially since he's really, really, really hot when he's being mister super genius surgeon all over the place. And, um, the scene. You know the one. The absolutely adorable, drawing on the wall MerDer scene. I love so much the way they connect over surgery. You could really see just how much they share this love of all things neuro and how much of a sounding board Mer is for Derek. It was so freaking cute that I can even acknowledge that the post-it in a frame was cute. I still think it's ridiculous and hateful, but also now somehow cute. IDK. However, Derek completely turning that bed around with Mer in it? HOTTTT. Le sigh.
And I loved how Derek's fellow doctors were all on his side. Arizona telling the Chief he doesn't get to be a bully was perfect because that's really what he is now. A big freaking bully. Also a douche. I mean, he was going to fire Derek for being a surgical genius all because he didn't get his own way. Can I get an ASSHAT? I really hope that this is going to end up being a means to getting rid of the Chief for good and not turn into some sort of dreadful redemption story for that miserable man because at this point, he's become such an awful human being that I just want him gone.
Alex continues to break my heart. But I want him far, far away from the Elf. Even sympathetic-Elf. Also, I'm kinda glad that Cristina managed an epic fail at the dollar bill nose test after all her boasting. Because I do not like smug people. Although her enthusiasm in immediately putting on the diaper for Owen's surgery kinda makes my day. I'm not sure what to make of Lexie and her diaper though. I'm feeling about two thirds disturbed and one third tentatively amused here. All in all, it's still too much Lexie on my screen.
But, in conclusion, DEREKKKKK.
