Lessons of a school year

Jun 07, 2007 10:53

1. The first day of school is always odd, no matter how many first day's you've had.

2. School is very hard if you don't have internet.

3. Sometimes you have to abandon your past.

4. Being broke sucks, a lot.

5. Living with people ruins relationships.

6. First jobs can actually make you enjoy work.

7. It actually makes you feel BETTER to have a bill to pay regularly.

8. People will always surprise you.

9. 5people + a 1 bedroom apartment is NOT a good combination.

10. Sometimes you get stuck with drunk roommates.

11. Privacy is a priviledge, not a right.

12. Sometimes new people can become great friends.

13. It is never too late to make friends with people from your past again.

14. Beware of the boyfriend's mom.

15. Laugh a lot.

16. Sometimes it's better to let things go rather than hold on to them.

17. No matter how old you get, someone will be immature enough to attack you via txt message and phone call.

18. Everyone makes giant mistakes.

19. Don't drive drunk.

20. Girls are touchy- little things will piss them off. Be more like a guy, chill, drink a rootbeer, and laugh at the word 'boobs'. Less drama is more happiness.

21. There is no reason to be mad at someone ALL the time. You don't want frown lines once you're old, you want laugh lines.

22. Sometimes you will miss a class terribly, not becuase of the curriculum, but because of the amazing people in it, and the chemistry the people had. AP EURO w/ Waddell (+Britney) was more of a class of friends than an elective AP class. I will miss it more than any other class.

23. Being a junior sucks because you watch the last of influential people leave the school, and NOW you're the one that (hopefully) the underclassmen will look to for inspiration, and that's a lot of pressure.

24. If assigned to read Fallen Angels in reg. Jr. Eng, do it!

25. It's never too late to start over.
