I think I have finally created the perfect college schedule.
One of the things that I have bitched about my entire college career has been the erratic schedule, and have often stated my preference for high school life over college life. If I get all the classes I want for this semester, I will have effectively eliminated that problem, and gotten one-up on the high school model.
My earliest classes start at 10am in the morning, and my day starts off at the same hour *every day* from Monday to Thursday. My latest class goes until 3pm, and my classes end at the same hour *every day* from Monday to Thursday. I'll be able to comfortably stay up until 1 or 2 am in the morning, and still get a good 7 to 8 hours of sleep by waking up at the perfectly reasonable hour of 9am. ^_^
Friday, I may or may not have *one* class, because it is blocked-out for my Japanese language class, and these classes usually do not hold an actual session on Fridays. Instead you just have "lab" which is usually something you can do from home. Even if there is an actual in-session class on Friday, it's hardly a crisis, as it starts at 11am and ends just before noon. I think I can handle that.
The Japanese Language 422 class and the Japanese Fiction 455 class I'd be taking will complete the classes required for my major from the EALC department. I'm done with my G.E.s this semester, so otherwise all I have to take are 'elective' classes within the college of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Wee!
Other than those I plan to continue French with 150, which is 4 credits, and then I'll just be taking a 2 credit calligraphy class, which only meets on Mondays, and two 1 credit P.E. classes: Self-defense and Physical Conditioning.
The P.E. classes are still part of L.A.S. and I can take up to 4 credits of P.E. that count toward my degree. Having one type of P.E. class Monday through Thursday, at the same time of the day, starting out my day, will be really good for me, I think. Not only will I improve my physical health, it'll also help improve my mental state, and I'll learn how to gouge out someone's eyes and properly kick a man's balls in, wee!
I don't register until the 12th, but I'm not expecting a big rush for the classes I want to take. :/ Here's hoping, wish me luck! :D
