I... really kind of love this. Lestrade's attitude just made me smile (as well as Mycroft's approval). Would love to see this from the DI's prospective - maybe including the pickup and release? Maybe? Just a thought. ;)

*laughs* Oh, I won't do it justice (I'm trend toward the entirely too melodramatic), but I've half written it since last night, because a plot bunny is a plot bunny is a plot bunny - and if I don't, it'll BREED with my other plot bunnies (and that could just get... interesting). Care to have a gander at it before it goes live? Being as I'm playing with your premise I'd rather covet your opinion. ;) Will happily take you up on the cross linking if you think it's up to snuff.
