I was out for my morning constitutional today and I noticed a wonderful thing - it no longer hurts. I seem to be getting back into some sort of shape. Also, I've started wearing slippers or flip flops on my feet while scooting around the house, so my legs and heels aren't causing me pain anymore. While I love my hardwood floors, it just doesn't have the "give" that carpet had and that played some havoc. But today, I am just feeling great.
I start back to work this Wednesday, and I feel rather mixed about it. Yes, I know I should get back to it, and on some level, I know I am looking forward to it. However, working tech support in a call centre as I do is a job that can drive one nuts. Someone said "Call Centers are the coal mines of the 21st century" and there is more than a little truth to that. I work 4 days a week - 10 hour shifts, so that I can get 3 days off. A good thing, but it will take some real dedication to keep exercise. I am convinced that some day someone is going to do a study on call centers to find out that we are all candidates for thrombosis because we aren't moving around enough. Even though I do work for one of the better ones around, it is still like being chained to a desk.
