Off for lunch but my first three Top Fives before I go (thanks to
bookwormsarah, there are more to come!)
Top five canon couples
- CJ/Danny West Wing. Without a doubt. Which isn't to say I spent the whole of West Wing wanting them together (because oh Simon <3) but really they are probably my msot OTPish of OTPs
- Jo/Jack Chalet School. I sometimes feel I ought to find Jack waiting for her creepy but I never do. I love how much they do seem to remain pals in the later books and how deeply they care for each other and just generally them.
- Stuart/Vince QaF UK. I guess they're strange in that maybe you'd say they aren't a canon pairing till the very end? But they're a canon OTP from the very start to me and if they weren't then they would be from the moment Stuart recites the Doctors in order.
- Jo/Fritz Little Women. Or rather the series. To be honest I actually love all the couples as LMA writes them. I mean I'm less sure about Laurie/Amy but the others are just beautiful and Fritz IS right for Jo <3 under the umbrella and for always.
- Josh/Donna West Wing. Picking a 5th one was so hard! This one was nearly Willow/Tara or Danny/Lindsay and nearly Chris/Jal (Skins) and nearly Ron/Hermione but in the end I guess in an OTP sense Josh/Donna have the edge. Because she wouldn't stop for red lights and he flew halfway round the world.
(ps. I have to thank you so much for asking for that list because while writing it I remembered the
post of "I love you" and just spent a very happy 10 minutes.)
Top five ice cream flavours
- Chocolate Really when it comes to ice cream I'm pretty much ALL about the chocolate. As rich as possible.
- Coffee I like coffee ice cream far mroe than I like coffee :P
- Honey Specifically San Crispino gelati from the world's best ice cream shop in Rome. It's their signature flavour and so delicate and I LOVED it.
- Mango Well so sorbet maybe not ice cream but still, fresh and yummy.
- Um... more chocolate?I'm actually serious about being mostly all about chocolate with ice cream, I genuinely don't like many other flavours and I also dislike any ice cream with bits (including chocolate chips) which tends to make life fun!
Top five smells
- Jasmine Most of the perfumes I like best have Jasmine in them, it's such a smell of warm summer evenings to me.
- Wild garlic Reminds me of holidays in the Lake District, the campsite I stayed on was covered in wild garlic and the smell always takes me back <3
- Roses This probably comes from standing in a Cathedral full of people wearing and carrying roses for St Albans Day (or Rose Sunday as we always used to call it). It's both a beautiful smell and very nostalgic for me.
- Old books Secondhand shops or libraries or just anywhere with shelves and shelves of old books. I guess it's the aging paper that smells? I don't know but it's comforting and exciting all at once.
- Roast beef Is there anything more wonderful than walking into a house to the smell of roast beef cooking knowing you've got a yummy meal ahead of you?
