So being generally a failure this week I never managed to watch last week's episode of Desperate Romantics and decided just to jump straight in with the second episode.

Tell me other people are watching this gorgeous haven of OBASC* glory?

Not so much spoilers as fannish gleeful rambling )

tv, obasc, desperate romantics

See, I've been looking into things as we've been going along so I know the "official" theories about why Ruskin wouldn't sleep with his wife but it's very hard not to believe the discredited ones (homosexual) when he's LOOKING AT BARNETT LIKE THAT ACROSS A DESK ♥ TOM HOLLANDER ILU FOREVER

There are other things, but mostly ♥ (so much love for the brotherhood and their sniping and backstabbing and blindness and selfishness and ALL THE THINGS THAT I SHOULDN'T LOVE. OH FRED, IT'S GOING TO END SO BADLY FRED)

WELL EXACTLY! I mean it's not as if "historically accurate" is a thing they're going for and I swear there were actual honest to god sparks when Sam looked up and Tom and OH GOD ♥ it's like two generations of totally awesome actors meeting and being HOTTER THAN WORDS and yes

Fred is a silly boy ad OH so pretty and probably a bit in love with Rossetti? IDK but a bit broken anyway in a sort of "wanting to be brothers" way that the others aren't quite... I love that they are all bitchy and evil ♥♥♥

SPARKS! 2 generations of UTTER AWESOME being SO HOT I MIGHT DIE (speaking of Tom makes me think of Joseph and IDK what Flashforward is but it has Joseph Fiennes, Dom Monaghan and John Cho, I am VERY interested)

I think quite a lot in love with Rossetti and maybe he knows it and maybe he doesn't and he fell in love with the girl who he knew was exactly what Rossetti wanted and just OH FRED, poor little made up for tv (mostly, I think) Fred.

PS http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00lvyq2 about halfway down is a video of Aidan reading one of Rossetti's sonnets, it's kinda hothilarious lol also, Lizzie is Amy Mason and she played Alice Guppy in TW. I.e. one half of the f/f Torchwood 3 C19th couple. Or so tells me wikipedia!

Flashforward! Yes... someone was talking to me about that, Klo maybe IDK but WOWOWOW with a cast like that it'd have to go REALLY wrong for me not to like it!

And actually Joseph Fiennes and then that sonnet link and I wonder where it was I saved the various Shakespeare sonnets read by actors, Joseph was definitely one, but you couldn't see him read and *takes shaky breath* you'd have to be a very strong person to lok Aidan in the face while he read that to you *shivers*

That's why I recognised her! Which I did sort of half but they should do a Torchwood 1890 (or whenever it was) now :P

REALLY WRONG INDEED!

I sort of couldn't watch Aidan! It was... yes lol

They SHOULD do that! That would be sort of excellent. Like, I quite enjoyed s1 of Dollhouse but then I watched the post-apocalyptic future 13th episode of it and now I want THAT show lol

I mean to be honest Dom in a show I might watch is a thing of greatness anyway <3

I can understand that. It made me very shaky... then I watched it again *sighs* and now I desperately want him to do something on the stage, preferably Shakespeare.

It's a thing shows have to be careful for I guess *g*

It's really a no brainer, hey?

Stage! He should do stage! I mean, they have Being Human 2 but that won't he all year! He's got plenty of time!

lol very careful indeed! But they do what they can *pets*

Russell does stage stuff so Aidan TOTALLY could. Actually when I got over just staring and listening and *shivers again* Aidan really reminded me of Gerald Kyd when he was at the Globe and then I got a bit flaily about the idea of Aidan at the Globe and ANYWAY

(I just discovered one of my favourite actors from The Frontline is playing Achilles in Troilus & Cressida <3333)

*G* stranger things have happened!

(I am most pleased to hear it! OH! Our best actors, they should be in everything! Except we'd never discover new people but they should be in MORE! And Barnett on the stage again! I have to stop referring to him as Barnett as if if I'm SAM WEST or something *coughs*)

OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD

I have JUST realised that Samuel Barnett (I have to use his whole name, ALWAYS) is working with... oh I don't even know but Aidan's obviously Russell's and Tom Hollander and Sam West... IDEK where I'm going with this but the thought made me happy :P

He TOTALLY should do some more stage stuff PLEASE

Trystan Gravelle is unknown enough, to a spectacular degree, that anything he's in a is a shiny and unexpected bonus :P
