(no subject)
(I have started to write a sentence that goes here about 18 times and everytime it doesn't work because I end up sounding like I'm makiing that fannish/real dichotomy that I really hate so yes... there are other things about this weekend I would be posting only for whatever reason it's harder so you're getting fannish stuff :P)
I watched the season 4 Supernatural finale last night... I mean I only watched the first 3 episodes of season 4 and then bits of assorted other episodes so clearly watching the finale was a GREAT idea.
I mean in one way it WAS because I've been this weird mixture of uncaring and yet also worried abotu Sam and Dean and so watching the finale? Well at least they were both there at the end and things didn't look irredeemable.
On the other hand it looks prett much like a lot of things I was worried about when they introduced angels I was right to be worried about (just enough christian imagery to annoy everyone and yet somehow skipping God entirely? Well done show *rolls eyes hard*) Angels switching sides (gosh, angels can be bad, were people not paying attention to the whoel Lucifer = Morning Star thing?) and Oh wait a minite the demon lied and BAH
Supernatural is good when it's being fun and cracky and when it's all about the brothers but the rest of it frustrates me so much. And yet I still felt distinctly choked up watching Sam listen to the phone message *pets him* and at Dean calling him Sammy and them gripping each others' shirts and OH BOYS
(for the record I feel the same way about Ruby and Castiel, they're interesting characters but I'd rather it were still the Sam & Dean show :P)

I think now I've seen the end I'm more likely to go back and watch some of the episodes I've seen recced? And it does mean I can watch the next season when it starts if I decide I want to and I might give it a chance but I did used to like feeling fannish about it and now... now it's more like an echo of old fannishness.
I should put some stuff in here before shows so as not to accidentally spoiler people I guess *g*
Fabian Cancellera just won the Tour of Switzerland to several people's surprise. I was rather gleeful about that though I know other cycling fans in these parts won't be :P I'm VERY much looking forward to the Tour now and it's getting kind of close too :D
Of course until then we have Wimbledon only no Nadal :( plus I'm trying not to think about Murray being seeded so highly because it's unnerving!

CSI NY 524 Grounds for Deception
Oh Stella...
How stupidly did she behave in that episode? I mean in many ways it went SO much better than I've been fearing all series and yet... and yet she was idiotic and impulsive and thoroughly unprofessional and I think the one that really pushed me over the edge was taking the phone number off that pad and running away without telling Flack or Danny.
I mean Stella gets emotional and is passionate but that level of stupidity? And that was BEFORE she knew it was a bit about her Mum.
Still I guess I'm glad she's safe and her and Mac have made up because it's just wrong when they're not getting along <3
And I'm glad Angell didn't get dragged in more except REALLY she deserves to get dragged in because she knew what she was doingwas wrong and Stell and her BOTH should be getting some form of official warning/caution. Angell being away seemed awfully convinient unless it's going to come up in the next episode.
Switching subjects COMPLETELY Lucy is an adorable name and she's a beautiful baby and of course Danny would be a jealous father *pets him*
But yeah. Good episode and REALLY frustrating episode at the same time.
You know what's really sad? CSI finale tomorrow and then CSI NY finale next week and then the sad substitue that is CSI Miami returns *sighs* and I don't believe Horatio is dead no matter how many times they say it in the advert :P
So yes. Fannish ramblings oh and one other important thing!
