Kate Rusby has managed to barge her way quite a long way into the top ten concerts I've been to <3
I fear I actually cried in her last number (last rather than encore) Farewell. Actually I very nearly cried in her opening number too which surprised me quite a lot but, you see, whilst I don't talk about her a lot Kate Rusby's songs have got me through many a long night frm my BA dissertation onwards and it turned out when she was there, on the stage and in the same room as me, I got just a teensy bit emotional.
She does sound fantastic though, and her band are all incredibly talendted (and sound great even without her *g*)
Plus once I got over my slight surprise at hearing her speak for the first time (apparently knowing she's a Yorkshire lass didn't clue me in to the broad yorkshire accent) her speaking voice was just as lovely as her singing voice.
So yes. Heading straight towards the top half of my "people you haave to see live" list.
