It amuses me immensely that my flist it half covered in posts that read "I'll be leaving for Connotations in..." and then an amount of time that varies between two hours and a day (it's a day for me, now work tomorrow :D:D:D)
There are also a handful of "Gathering is only a week away" posts which are kind of shiny even if I'm not going (I will get to another actual Gather again one of these days... probably)(donna_k and I are having our very own teeny tiny Gather :P)
The rest of my flist is mostly made up of Supreme Court cases.
(sometimes it amazes me how many people on LJ I've sort of changed alongside, the majority of my flist are still people I friended through Harry Potter, I mean it's only just the majority now it is, and yet now you're posting new fandoms I love and politics and news and all sorts of interesting stuff. I guess along the way you're bound to drift part from people but it surprises me how little that's been true)
