Dean's never cared much for rules. Living the life he does it's hardly surprising that law and authority have become relative things.
There are still a few things he knows are wrong though.
He doesn't steal, unless he needs what he's taking and he'd never kill a human being (though he thinks he could if he was told he had to).
The other rule that Dean will never ever break is "Don't let anything hurt Sammy."
Of course some people might have a different view on what will hurt Sammy. Dean lets him eat junk food, lets him watch horror movies, doesn't mind if he hurts himself as long as it's only a scrathces and bruises and, late at night when they're alone or Sammy's frightened, Dean will hold Sam and kiss him till they both forget the monsters under the bed and behind the curtains.
Mrs MacKay told Dean's class that they should never let anyone touch them till they were of age. She warned them of stranger danger and of older friends who might pressure them. Sometimes Dean wonders if that includes him but Dean's never worried about breaking the rules and when he's holding Sammy tight he can't imagine what could possibly be wrong about it.
A/N Incest is bad, underage sex is bad, Dean and Sam Winchester are not exactly great role models but then you kenw that already ;)
