Tea break and trying to catch up on the deletions and WOW this is crazy.
I realise many of you on my flist are skipping past this in an "I'm not in the fandoms affected" manner.

The deletion of fandom journals because of their listed interests is a big thing for ALL Livejournal users. They deleted a community that was reading Lolita... there is no difference in LJs eyes at this stage between an interest in fiction about a crime and interest (and encouragement) or the crime itself.
I being fiction will not keep you safe. I have seen at least one comment suggesting that a rape survivor has had her journal suspended because of her interests.
Fandom is trying to pull together to come up with a response (other than stopping any financial support of Six Apart and LiveJournal till we have answers) and I'll pass them on but please don't think you are exempt from the effects of this
Apart from anything else, if you think that you've have never and will never read a story that includes a crime (incest, underage sex, murder, rape... just think of the published books on those subjects) EVEN THEN imagine LiveJournal without fandom. And if this isn't fixed we will leave.
I exist on GreatestJournal and JournalFen under this username and I won't leave unless I have to but if LJ stops feeling like a safe space then I will leave.
ETA: This isn't the fault of LJ Abuse, it's whoever complained to them and it's the bosses and lawyers who are going for such a wholesale set of bannings and if they listen to fandom and find a solution then I'll stick with LJ.
