Oh dear. I'm a bit awful when it comes to remembering birthdays but I think there really must be something wrong when instead of me managing to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE yesterday what actually happened was I received a pretty card and copy of Coming of Age for the Chalet School from her in the post this morning...

I do not like waking up to the news sometimes, and if I could bare to set my alarm earlier perhaps I would, because today i got to wake up to Rowan Williams and slavery and really I think he's a bit wrong about this and anyway how the hell would you pay reparations and who too and from exactly which money? Apparently the Archbishop of York is similarly uncertain which gives me hope but whilst I think it's important that religious leaders don't just entirely ignore modern politics there are times when I wish they would think a bit more before speaking. Possibly this is me being unfair because I slept badly again last night.
Apparently we have spring again...yay?
