As I slightly feared the exhaustion of the weekend has properly caught up with me, I fell asleep after my alarm went off and only just managed to get out of the house on time. I also appear to have developed some rather upsetting aches and pains from not having a second pillow and I think from being too tense whilst knitting (yay for strange ailments?)

So cycling. Because talking about any other sport at the moment is more than a little odd. David Millar sadly dropped to 11th overall on the last stage of Paris-Nice so not quite top tend BUT STILL it's a good start to the season and a great start to the Pro-Tour. Obviously I haven't actually seen more than thirty seconds of the actual racing (thank you eruosport website) but from what I read Discovery seem to have remembered how to ride as a team after last year's wobble and Contador benefitted and managed to win at the last moment (though well done Rebellin for never quite giving up!)

Not that I've been paying it much attention with David and Roger Hammond being in P-N but the Tirreno-Adriatico has of course also begun. Rather less happily for the Disco boys Basso appears to have pulled out... and Tyler Hamilton appears to have the flu (really I do wish I could think of anything other than this awful sick feeling of shame and mistrust when his name appears but it's going to take a while longer). Mostly I'm just posting because this amused me:
Gerolsteiner's Schumacher rode the 20.5-kilometer (12.7-mile) course in 27:08, one second faster than Astana's Andreas Klöden and six seconds ahead of T-Mobile's Kim Kirchen. It was a great day for former T-Mobiles: Schumacher, Klöden, and 4th-place Astana rider Alexandre Vinokourov all have ridden for the team.
As a T-Mob fan I'm torn between cheering them on because I liked them all when they did ride in the pink and between sulking that they aren't in the team anymore. Well. With Vino and Klodi there's always that slight "assuming they're clean" thing but we won't mention that.

I need either a David Millar or a T-Mob icon.. I deleted so many over the course of last year :-S Oh but wait I do have a T-Mob icon. Not that he's been riding yet that I've seen but still Birtish and T-Mobile <3

Anyone still reading? :P
