... and home again.
*collapses in a small but colourful heap*
The Gather was rather fabulous as ever though quite tiring and I do have incredibly sore index finger from my attempts at knitting... thankfully I won one of Dawn's grogeous scarves in the raffle so if my hoped for Hufflepuff scarf never gets finished I do at least have a pretty one to wear (and if I find mum's camera there maybe pictures later).
I though maybe I'd update now before I forget stuff but it's already all jumbled up in my head. There was a lot of tea, a lot of food, a fair amount of yibbling (that's general chatter for non CBBers) and yards and yards of knitting (mostyl socks from the exoerienced knitters and sort of squares from the novices)
We had a sheets and pillow cases party for which I hope the pictures never appear *g* Though I did pull "Plato" from the hat which was at least an easy costume to manage. We also had a birthday party for Gem with pass the parcel and quizzes and decorations and even party bags (including a mask so if I fail completely at organisation then at least that's sorted for Phoenix Rising maskerade ball ;-))
There was also a rather fine bonfire though I mostly hid indoors and there were quizzes and "guess whose bookshelf" (which I think I managed 2 from) and of course there were bedtime drabbles (ficlets... translating for non-CBBers again, all less than a page except the one I had to read of course!) and for once we finished them before midnight thanks to the genius idea of the organisers to start earlier this year!
I would list all the people there but I'd only forget someone or speel an LJ name wrong or possibly discover someone wasn't who I thought they were... it was very lovely to meet euphrosyna though and I hope she's on a plane back home now and not stuck in Luton Airport...
Now I'm off to unpack, find tea, and possibly manage to retrieve Mum's Mother's Day present from my room :D
