The problem with lovely weekends away is that you come back and suddenly it's Monday tomorrow /o\
This weekend involved wine and Hairspray Live and a Christmas Market and Beatrix Potter and Mulled drinks and pancakes and a Castle and a Peacock and a Maze (which we just about survived) and then more wine and anime and then more teapots that you an possibly imagine (over 8000...)
It also involved driving home during a truly spectacular sunset. First of all there was the pale gold band on the horizon as we drove into London and I got confused for the millionth time over just where the Shard is (there was one bridge where the view made it look like the Shard was right next to Canary Wharf!). Then there was this fierce gold and purple sky as I turned to drive out of London making everything behind me seem to be on fire. And then there was the purple sky behind St Albans Abbey as I came round the M25 before I arrived home as dusk properly settled and came inside to our newly decorated living room and the Advent candles.
So it was pretty good. And now it's two weeks to Christmas and (much more worryingly) one week till the Yuletide deadline!
