Today's
XKCD is alarmingly true (and amusingly I first saw it when one of the Abbey clergy put it on facebook, he's meant to be on holiday but apparently it struck a chord!)
It's bee a pretty full day, you know when you've been in a job for a bit and then you have a week when you suddenly remember actually you're still pretty new and there's a LOT you don't know? That. And then a sudden email saying the choir rehearsal I thought was cancelled wasn't... but it wasn't a BAD day for all that.
Anyway I have three cultural links I picked up today to share:
- Manchester Museum have built an inflatable version of themselves!
How brilliant is this? I mean I was a little sad when I realised it wasn't a bouncy museum but it's actually much cleverer than that.
- The Migration Museum is crowdfunding their new exhibtion.
They've already met their first target but the exhibition, focussing around the faulty lifejackets washing up on the shores of the Mediterranean, sounds absolutely fascinating.
- Anonymous is a woman
This theatre company look like they might be worth keeping an eye on anyway but their next project Heavenly Bodies is STEM + theatre + women which is very much all my things at once <3
How was your wednesday?
