It's that time of year again when I panic madly about what to offer and try to decide on what it is I REALLY want to request *g*

Dear Yuletide Author,

Please don't worry, I am really very easily pleased! But in case you want more information here's some.

I'm not a big fan of overly marshmallow-y fluff type stories. Happy stories are good! In love stories or happy ending stories or all kind of nice things just not fluff with no conflict or point. That said if it's set anywhere near Christmas my liking for fluff goes up hugely *g* When it comes to angst I'm particularly of the yearning wistfulness kind.

I'm a slash fan however I am entirely happy to receive gen fic- it's the relationship I'm interested in whether it's friendship or more is a side issue.

Oh and I always love a good Christmas theme though it isn't at all mandatory.

Fandom James II: Day of the Innocents - Munro
Characters James II, Will Douglas
Optional Details I loved this play so much and the relationship between James and Will was one of the main reasons. I'd love fic with the two of them at any stage from their first meeting as children through their teenage years with Will looking out for James and being his touchstone for reality through to becoming adults and trying to negotiate from friendship into king & subject. Happy or sad, gen or slash I don't mind I just want to read about them!

My reviews of all the James Plays are here in case they help but it's really what I said in the optional details- I just want to see more of them. My heart ached for them from Will's first appearance because I knew what was coming but I loved their friendship and how it developed and changed even while dreading the ending.

Fandom A City of Bells - Elizabeth Goudge
Characters Gabriel Ferranti, Jocelyn Irvin, Felicity Summers
Optional Details I read this book for the first time as an adult last year and I suddenly became fascinated by the relationship between the adults. Jocelyn & Felicity spend so much time trying to get inside Gabriel's mind/skin and then he turns up and is possibly going to live with them? Ideally I'd like post-book fic (just this book) or something during the book that looks at them.

This is one of those ideas I asked for last year and hasn't stopped haunting me! As long as it's about Gabriel, Jocelyn and Felicity and the way their lives interact I'll be thrilled- anywhere from book appropriate gen to all out threesome or anything in between.

I've never read Elizabeth Goudge fic so anything at all would be amazing.

Fandom Son of Rambow
Characters Will Proudfoot, Lee Carter
Optional Details I'd like to see how Lee and Will grow up together or apart, either as teenagers or as adults. But anything post-canon that involves both of them would be good.

I'd be equally happy with slash or gen for this pair. If you go for post-canon I guess I'd like Will and Lee to still be in touch in some way but whilst my inner romantic loves the idea of them being best friends (or something else) forever I quite understand that friendships from when kids are that young don't always exactly last I just think the films events mean they'll always be tied to each other in some way.

I like Lee in his brashness and fierce loyalty and his honesty and his own moral code (I also pretty much adore his brother and the way the two of them clearly love each other). I guess I like Will because he throws himself into things and pretty much believes the best of people but also acknowledged his mistake.

But just them, even them in an missing scene from the film <3

Fandom Frederica- Georgette Heyer
Characters Jessamy Merriville
Optional Details Anything about Jessamy would be wonderful- does he get into more scrapes? Does he end up as a priest (I hope so) or something else entirely (which I wouldn't hate). Please feel free to include any characters from any of Heyer's books!

I have to admit I'm endlessly fascinated with stories about people who are/becoming priests so that's part of my Jessamy fixation but also I love the way his determination to be "good" wars with his desire for an adventure and I'd love to read more about the way those two clash. Really anything more of Jessamy will make me happy though!
