I'm working on my Yuletide requests and offers at the moment. I'm quite conflicted this year, weirdly the option to ask for up to 6 things has thrown me completely because I can thinking of 6 things I want to ask for but do I REALLY want all 6 or might I end up with a request I've put in as filler? So I'm determined that any requests will be ones I really want and so I still haven't quite settled on what I want *G*
Anyway today's rec is a Yuletide story for a book I desperately wanted fic for when I read it only it was before I really knew about fic so it was really just a vague longing for more...
Rec of the Day:
Minstrel's Song - Isis De Braose's eyes went to the tent opening. Herluin looked as well, and surely God in his heaven was laughing, for there stood the boy, his pale hair dirty with mud and blood, haggard eyes fixed upon him. It was the Imp - no longer a half-starved dog-boy but a battle-blooded young man - and Herluin felt nearly ashamed that after so many years their meeting should come about in this way.
This is fic for A Knight's Fee which is one of my favourite Rosemary Sutcliffe books and which always breaks my heart a little at the end no matter how many times I read it knowing what's coming. The fic is Randal/Herluin though which I never knew I wanted.
I'm sorry if this only appeals to a small group but then that's the point of Yuletide I guess and there must be some other Rosemary Sutcliffe fans out there.
