It couldn't have been a better winner either, a Brazillian - how perfect that the last medal of London 2012 is going to the same place as the next games!

Still, I'm glad they got a medal as well! (and it's only appropriate we were in front really *g*)

It was brilliant. She had been in 3rd place coming into the riding; she had a couple of fences down (almost everybody did) and went into 4th place, 8 seconds behind the leaders. After the first two laps she was somehow in 3rd, and then she shot absolutely brilliantly, and left the range only just behind the 2nd-placed athlete, and overtook her a couple of seconds later, you can imagine the roars of applause. And then she came back into the stadium still in 2nd place and the whole place went absolutely wild, it was amazing!

I saw her jumping and then came in just as she finished her shooting for the second time and by that third lap I was out of my chair and shouting... SO WONDERFUL (Dad's still sulking because although I can get out of talking to my siblings he couldn't not talk to his kids *g*)

I did! I wonder how offputting that was to the others (but I have to admit I didn't really care if it was)
