(no subject)
We put our fountain on for the first time today :D
Well okay fountain is maybe talking it up a little, water feature perhaps? Large tub with a pump in it is even more accurate but it sounded like summer as we sat outside and ate mozarella & fresh bread & olive oil <3
Have to admit the weather is slightly melting my brain though and everything seems to be taking twice as long but really it's a small price to pay for this glorious warmth & sun & dryness!
And it's only about 73 hours to go till the Olympics start properly :D
I really can't wait, not least because then I can immerse myself in proper sports news and stop having to avoid the comments on everything (why do people feel they have to comment "yawn" or "who cares" or explain just how awful/pointless/corrupt/etc. the Olympics are when other people are excitd? It's such a dog-in-a-mangerish thing to do- I'm feeling miserable and cross so EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD BE TOO STOP BEING HAPPY *scowls* Not the people who are having problems getting around London you understand, the people with genuine problems it's reasonable but there's this whole swathe of people who just seem to want to stop anyone being excited for the Games )
(Oh wait! Also why do people keep trying to spoil the Opening Ceremony? I found out something about it yesterday from another museum's twitter account! IDEK *sighs* if you like spoilers then go ahead but don't force them on the rest of the world *glares at quite a lot of journalists actually*)
