So normally the Crib Service attracts somewhere around 1200 or so people... we reckon we were well over 2000 and heading for 2500 today! It was CRAZY ever seat was full and every choir stall and clergy seat and they were on the stairs and the Sanctuary was full and they were standing everywhere that wasn't a aisle and it was INSANE but also kind of brilliant because everyone was smiling and nobody complained (too much) that they didn't get a seat or an order of service or that the glow sticks had to be saved for Primary School aged kids.
And I might have got a little bit sniffly during Away in a Manger but you can't prove anything! (I was actually worse when the tiniest little girl carried the knitted baby Jesus up to the Knitivity set, cuddling him carefully ♥)
Now it's a short rest and then time for Christmas Eve Tea <3 (Salmon & home-made Pork Pie and then Christmas Cake & Chocolate Cake & Mince Pies :D) so while I'm "resting" have a few
Christmas pictures:
This year's tree is narrow and doesn't touch the ceiling but it's a rather good shape for baubles.
With thanks to
xandutch for the Teapot & Cup <3
Yes we have two artichokes on our Christmas tree this year, one gold & one silver, don't ask!
