It's raining and I'm trying to be grown up and do admin type things that need to be done and I'm BORED so I am going to take a break and give you a brain dump sort of a post. Aren't you lucky!
Firstly it turns out the 20th August is a pretty good day for celeb birthdays. We have 3 people I love quite a lot really:
Amy Adams
Ben Barnes (who turns 30 today!)
and Bambi Andrew Garfield
Secondly I started watching Wilfred last night, mostly because however dubious I was about the show I find it hard to turn down things involving Elijah Wood :-P and I actually really kind of liked it. I'm not sure if the concept will become annoying eventually but 2 episodes in and I'm really liking it.
Thirdly who else watched The Guild? Because I am LOVING the news series ♥ For those of you who don't watch it (yet) it's Felicia Day's beautifull geeky web series and even the very longest episodes are less than 10 minutes and several of the early ones are barely 5 minutes so even though we're onto series 5 it will hardly take ANY time to catch up so
go watch it. *taps foot expectantly*
Fourthly the Vuelta a Espana starts today :D It's probably my least favourite of the 3 cycling Grand Tours but it's still a great race and has a really good field this year (particularly having hoovered up a bunch of the guys who crashed out of the Tour) PLUS Taylor Phinney is having his first GT experience and if his habbit of referring to it as the "Vuelty" doesn't drive me mad I think his
blogs on the subject are going to be well worth reading.
Fifthly I'm going to get to see a Shakespeare play (The Tempest) in the Middle Temple Hall tonight and I am EVER SO SLIGHTLY excited about this thought. I've never quite forgiven myself for not seeing Twelfth Night when it was on there.
Sixthly a rec for all Criminal Minds and/or Inception fans:
Synergy by
airgiodslv Seventhly I haven't even started on VividCon vids yet so if anyone has any recs they should totally share them (or links to rec posts) with me...
Um. I think seven things is it for now. Back to paperwork it is.
