Oh I am going to miss Lark Rise to Candleford on a Sunday evening :-( However snarky people are about it's sweetness I still adored it ♥
Final Lark Rise to Candleford
Starting with the quibble GABRIEL DOES NOT DESERVE DORCAS LANE!
Honestly the man's a coward and a fool and I don't like him one little bit and they should have brought back one of Dorcas' rather more lovely sparring partners of old.
*sighs*
But oh the rest of it was rather lovely. I still maintain I wanted it to end with Laura's wedding but given they clearly couldn't get Robert Timmins back I guess that was unlikely. And maybe would have been OTT? *shrugs* At least Daniel and Laura were happy and together and they tied up the whole point of the narrator and her writing <3
But seeing Minnie give Caroline Arless a piece of her mind was BEAUTIFUL and then Alfie's proposal *takes a moment* *and then another*
Okay so I loved that completely and utterly and yes so likely they'll totally end up raising Alfie's sisters between them BUT STILL.
And Thomas and Margaret get a baby ♥
So, yes, almost perfect ending. And yes probably it was time but this is NOT the place to say because I am going to miss it so! And Pearl & Ruby never got an ending really and no more Mark Heap on my TV all the time and and and no more Ruby Bentall being BRILLIANT
*sighs*
Even the BAFTAs aren't enough to cheer me up entirely.
