So half my flist has quoted today's XKCD strip, Porn for Women. I mean I always assumed most of my flist followed XKCD but it's kind of funny it's actually true :P

Also that strip is complete win, as many people have pointed out, and reminded me that I meant to post about Filament magazine.

It's fourth edition came out at the start of March so it's been going for a full year now and about a year ago when it first appeared I chatted to a bunch of people about the first issue which, to be honest, showed potential but was actually in itself not brilliant.

Well I reckon it's hit its stride with issue 4.

The photoshoots are really hot, not every guy is my type of course but every issue has had more than one I liked and they're all different and interesting and show personality and a sense of fun and are generally great.

And with the last two issues I'm also able to say I was genuinely interested to read the articles they had. Recipes and philosophy and interviews and all. Issue four has a fascinating piece on Japanese Rope Bondage with a photographic how to (and suddenly a hundred piece of fanfic make more sense :P) and a really interesting thing on prehistoric erotica, a philosophy article about tolerance and interviews with Annie Sprinkle and also the woman behind Shot With Desire.

And also recipes.

Plus hot guys *g*

So yes. After a year of Filament I would definitely reccommend it and I'm looking forward to seeing what they manage in their second year.

filament, xkcd
