What I wasn't crazy about was the ending. Last night I was downright livid, that the boys could just leave Cas there like that - with Meg, nonetheless. But, I'm confident this isn't the end. Cas has more episodes, for one thing. And I guess Dean really thought he was doing the best thing for Cas, that they couldn't take him with them. I'm not sure exactly where they were going with such urgency, but whatever. And, I mean, let's not forget that Dean's still clinically depressed, as far as I'm concerned, so yeah, he's not making the best decisions.
They can't take a catatonic angel with them, though. How do you care for him? And he may not be responsive enough to even move.
I'm wondering- since God brought Cas back again- if He isn't the one who dropped that hint to Dean.
Realistically leaving him with Meg- who clearly sees Castiel as her lifeline- is the best that they can do, especially now as the show made it very clear that Crowley has lifted the moratorium on hurting the Winchesters.
(Sidenote: they must drive Crowley crazy. Sure he thinks they're idiots but they get things done! )
You're right, they couldn't really take Cas with them in that state. And it probably wasn't safe for them to remain there much longer, either. I feel pretty sure they'll go back for him soon, so I'm not too worried about it. My knee-jerk reaction was that it wasn't a good thing, but I feel better about it now.
Yeah...I don't trust Meg one bit, but I guess they were just making the best of a difficult situation. Like I said, I'm pretty sure it's not a permanent solution.
Huh, that's certainly possible that it was God. I assumed it was Bobby, or that they want us to think it's Bobby, because they made that same "whoosh" sound they've used for these weird little occurrences before, which seem like they were Bobby. But it's not for sure yet, of course.
