one of my favorite places has to be on goose pond in my kayak.
today was beautiful, listening to iron and wine, watching my paddle dip slowly to break the seemingly solid glass surface and form tiny whirlpools. watching the seaweed sway and fish dart back and forth just inches beneath me. i love feeling my muscles work to propel me slowly across the water. nobody bothers me, nobody can touch me and i have to say that right now i love the distance. i'm quite unfamiliar with it at this point, but maybe some time alone is exactly what i need.
