The powers that be decided today that I needed to have my share of sick kids.
Alex has been complaining all day since he came home that his head hurt. He even laid down and rested with me on the couch. And after that he reluctantly ate some yogurt with some pain medicine.
Then spent the next few hours wondering if he was going to throw up because then his stomach hurt and he had hardly eaten anything.
btw, he pretty much sat around me all afternoon and wasn't up and running. Very uncharacteristic of him. Definitely something is up.
Dinner came along and he didn't want any. In fact, Daddy said "If you don't want any dinner maybe you need to go to bed?" and he said "Okay." Went in and climbed into bed. (When Alex doesn't want food, something IS wrong.)
So after Daddy got his PJs and teeth brushed he came back and said he felt a little warm. Sure enough I go in there and he feels warm again. So I give him something else to last the night so he can sleep.
Hopefully, it will be one of those passing things. Because it isn't fun being sick. And even less fun for parents to see and care for sick kids. Cause man, when they don't feel good and you can't do anything about it. That's not fun either. Not to mention having to baby him too. But that's almost a perk, if they weren't feeling so yucky. Perk for me, not a perk for them?
Alex is going to be disappointed tomorrow if he is still not feeling well though. Because that means that I'm not sending him to play at M's house. I'm not going to pass the bug if he caught it. *pout* I hate to tell him no when it means to go and play. Cause I know how much he loves to go and play at someone else's house.
Sometimes it is hard to be a parent.
