but as he struggles begins the drip drip
covering his head.
The water fills
the bowl is half full.
Our little friend is near death, he cannot climb these walls, he takes what he thinks is his last breath until someone throws in a tube….
A bendy straw…
The mouse now struggles to bring himself to the bottom of the water so her can keep a good grip if his life preserver.
Drinking air.
Breathing water.
He lies at the bottom of the bowl.
Teeth biting down on the flimsy plastic.

Irony, there is a snake sitting on the out side of the bowl, awaiting her dinner.
