Well once again another warped tour is over. This year wasnt one of my favorites, probably because two of my friends passed out and I was well on my way to doing the same.
I got to meet FOB again which is always cool. I am happy that they've had so much success as of late b/c I've deff been a fan from the start (An evening out with your girl) but it hinders the amount of conversation you can have with them when theres a line of 100 + kids behind you. I would love to get in depth with the guys but Im sure many people would.... at least im not one of those crazy girls who'd rip them to shreds in the hopes of getting a piece of their shirts.
Didnt even get to watch that many bands play I saw my new favorite local band "Waving at strangers" I didnt get a chance to talk to them afterwards though b/c my friends insisted on going to see "My Chemical Romance". They put on a good show but it was way too crowded and rediculously hot. I wish it would be cloudy for once when warped tour came through. Every year its that brutal heat and sweaty bodies. I guess thats something to look back and appreciate, I stuck it out for my favorite bands.
I missed Hawthorne Heights but I've already seen and met them so it wasnt too much of a travisty. Saw senses fail who put on a great show. I love them.
The attitudes of some people at concerts baffles me though. While everyone was waiting in line to meet FOB in the brutual heat crammed up like sardenes these fat bitches from the FOB fan club insisted that they meet them first b/c thats what they were entitled being in the fan club. As much as I would love to show my support and be in the fan club not all of us can afford it when things like gas and food add up. The least you could do is have a good attitude and be sympathetic towards the kids who just want a glimpse of their fav. band. If your such a fan then you should have been at the tent in time to get a good spot in line. I got lucky enough to be first after the fan club cows.
Then theres the kids in the crowd. I got hit numerous times but flying water bottles. I was standing next to a kid who had a water bottle full of batteries and thought it would be funny to chuck it at someone. WTF? How does that show appreciation for a band when your throwing shit at them and their fans? Ya you think it's funny until your the one who gets pegged. I think concert etiquette should be required.
On a final note I think if you are over 160lbs you should not crowd surf...you will hurt people.
