Oh Spock
So I saw the new Star Trek, I won't give anysort of review for fear of spoiling peoples fun, but it made me happy and now I really really want to watch Wrath of Khan, so much I might buy it this weekend, and go see the new movie again.
I just got back from Caprock, and my eyes are totally totally shutting, oh tiredness. Thats what you get when you spend the last week going to bed between 7-9. It's so dorky, but we were all so exhausted, and didn't have many places to go after the long days that we went to bed while the sun was still up. Caprock Canyon is gorgeous we were doing some trail reroutes and lots of stonework, up this trail called the Haynes Overlook. we divided the trail into First, Second and Third Floor. I spend the first part of my week on the first floor building stone check steps and water bars, once that was done I moved up to Third Floor. It was a total hike to get up to the top of the Canyon each morning, and then somedays you found yourself holding on so that the wind didn't blow you away, but oh the view and wonder of it all. It was a bit of a trying project for me. I don't really get stone work. I'm starting to understand Stone steps and water bars, but I tried to build this retaining wall and the rocks just wouldn't sit where I wanted them to. If E-Corps is anything to me it's humbling. I never had much difficulty when it came to school, but this work, somedays I just stare at the rocks and don't understand what they want. I know the whole of this experience is just so good for me. I just really love my days in E-Corps.
I think I need to be a little nicer to my boss. I told him to Fuck off yesterday, it was a bit awkward. I mean it's Erick and he's a friend, and he hurt my feelings a bit, with a joke, and at the time i was about to pass out from general exhaustion. I didn't mean it to be overly mean and we were alone so it's not like i was putting him down infront of the crew. but after i said it i felt it was a bit harsh. I don't know...awkward.
I just took the first shower in eleven days, that's exciting.
What to do with five days off. What to do?
