I was thinking tonight that one of my favorite sounds is walking across snow. the world seems so amazingly quiet when it's snowing, and there is a certain crush that is just beautiful.
I saw two awesome movies today. First was Nicholas Nicholby (sp?) it's a dickens story, and the movie was only a couple years old. it was just a great story, with hateful characters and loving characters and adventure and a sweet ending. christopher plummer was in it and he was just so terrible. almost hard to watch because i love my dear von trapps so.
Tonight I saw The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, it was one of the most stunning films i've ever seen cinematography wise. It was just amazing, and of course by the end of the movie i want to read a book on jesse james, and go to his museum in Missouri. I wish I could just learn and learn and keep note of all these places I want to go in the world and then spend a section of my life and just go. Shoot I'm sure I'll get the chance someday, probably when I'm old and retired and find myself with time and money, but I just wish I could do it now, because i think it's time like now, when I'm younger and still learning that I would take it in, in such a way that it would shape me and form a prominent piece of that scrapbook which is my life. maybe sooner then I think.
