I'm still cheering for Adam, and he was pretty amazing, again. But this time I felt he didn't quite manage to make the song contemporary. Since he even stated that this was his purpose, I had to take a few points from him.

Finally Scott managed to impress me. Now that's a voice to respect. Maybe he's finally getting over his nerves?

No idea why people were giving Allison such a hard time about her outfit. I've seen a lot worse in this show without a single comment. And many of those were being worn by the judges. Sure, Allison's style isn't mine, but it seems to suit her. Isn't that what matters?

Whatever the judges were hearing when Lil sang, I didn't hear. What I heard was a lot of flat notes and her trying to create volume through force instead of technique. It was painful to listen to. Only thing I agree with is that she does sound terribly old-fashioned. And it's not her song choice. You can pick an oldie and make it brand new, as other contestants, past and present, have proven. It's the way she sings.

I'm not sorry to see Megan Joy go, but I am sorry she didn't do better in the competition. She was different. This show needs different. I have the feeling she never quite figured out how to make the band and the arrangements work on her favour. Maybe if she had stuck to quieter, unplugged arrangements... I don't know. Just a gut feeling.

Well, this time Simon completely annihilated the second (pseudo-)climax created by the Judges Save rule by being stupidly rude (sorry, I really don't find that attractive) and telling Megan she would not be rescued no matter how well she sang her last song. Yeah, real classy.

And honestly, the constant mocking of Paula's comments is getting to my nerves. It's just not funny anymore, if it ever was.
