i don't suppose it's right to say that i "enjoyed" reading Texas, but God i couldn't help getting through all of part 1 today when i was camped out on the couch nursing a sore tooth.

i felt the pain and the love and the heartache and maybe it's just the Vicodin talking, but hell if i didn't care about Texas by the time i was done.

it was a nice escape from my own fic, drug induced haze or not.

Hmmmm, well...I'm glad you read Texas, even if you didn't truly 'enjoy' it. Texas is a right bastard, but he can grow on you like a fungus *snickers* I hope you will try out Texas II, even though it's in progress..I know what you mean about having to escape your own ideas, Slave Breakers is my comfort go to fic...I'll keep on, darlin' *hugs* MC

Wow! I have spent the last few days traveling through your Texas playground - what a fantastic journey! Thank you so much for sharing your vision. Having discovered this as a complete piece rather than a WIP, I've had the pleasure of experiencing your entire story arc and character progressions. While certain scenes taken on their own are alternately sexy, sweet, horrific, eye-popping, gut wrenching, breath taking, lip-biting, sigh inducing, etc., taken as a whole this novel to me is a beautiful and moving testament to the resiliency of the human spirit and the power of love (I've kind of renamed this in my mind as "Paul's Odyssey"). Your writing talent and prowess shines as you are able to convey helplessness, despair, anxiety and pain, and combine it with joy, empowerment, triumph and ecstasy ( ... )
