The man knew he had to rein it in or his promise to never hurt his Kitten would be for naught.
And on top of that the Puppy was coming home and he couldn’t find the release for his tension there as well. As much as he trusted Jug, he had a feeling that the man would kill him rather than stop him if he got out of control.Despite his power, Texas is almost like a kid-- a spoiled kid who's never had to rein in his darker impulses, always had someone to hurt and take it out on. It's like Kyle is helping him grow up, realize that his actions can have serious consequences (that he can't handle-- like the loss of his Kitten), and that he has to learn control not only over others but over himself. Jug and Alonzo are helping too... I love the bit about how Jug would castrate him if he hurt Paul. Texas has a lot to learn about strength, and I think his feet are on the right path now ( ... )

Before it's all said and done we'll get a glimpse of a very young Texas and it will shed light on the type of man he turned out to be.
Its been to happy as of late, not so in the coming chapters. Just fair warning...MC
