i know exactly how that is...
and i know too that there is no fix for it, and its the knowing that it will pass with the medication which you have to rely on until life becomes more stable. sadly it takes a lot for life to become stable, infact it rarely does, but you can't change a mood thats so deep. even meds take at least ten days to begin working, but eventually they do.
quick tips for trying to stay sane?
1- find some time and space to go INsane, go with the mood and it will break off the tension of waiting for it to go. it sounds hard, and a little adverse, but there really is nothing you can do to change the chemicals your brain has released upon you.
2- there is always such a temptation to give in to the tiredness and go to bed, but dont. even if it means limiting yourself to the ammount of time you spend at home, its the most effective way to kick start your metabolism into a more awake state. the more energy you feel you have, the more effectively you feel you can tackle things.

sorry to bundle tips on you, and i really hope i dont sound patronising, these are things i've had drummed into me by a very close friend, who, at 34 is one of the best survivors you could hope to meet. she isnt perfect, but who is?
your future is a long way off, and you know what you want. there is no need to be entirely fixed on your goal, because after all its a profession you chose because you enjoy it right? keep a check on what motivates you, and beware of the worries that you don't need. you wouldnt be doing the course at uni if you didnt have the brains or the passion to be there, and you do.

*hug*
i'll shut up now
