Hmmm... I like the start. Will totally be waiting for the next update.

"Mr Dominic, believe me I am well aware that I'm no one’s idea of a rebel leader, but at the moment I'm all there is."

Tell the truth, if I were to choose my rebel leader, I'd choose Adelle over Caroline. Adelle thinks things through. Caroline... well, considering she got her boyfriend killed and she ended up in the Dollhouse, I think I can safely say she doesn't really think things through...

Thanks.

You know, I'd pick Adelle too, every time. I suppose I am interested in writing a fic where the person leading the struggle against Rossum is an insider, which also means they are implicated in the nasty stuff. I think rebellions often start from the inside and that in this kind of struggle no one is completely pure.

That's perfect. That's exactly it. This is an imperfect world and we don't get perfect leaders. In the end what matters is being willing to step up and do the job.

Thanks - and I agree about imperfect leaders, it's what I want to explore in the story. In this case it might take an insider to lead the struggle and obviously that means they are implicated in what Rossum has done.

I think that's what Joss wants to explore too. I hope he gets the chance.

I hope he does too - even if he insists on doing it through Echo /Caroline.

Thanks - it was bugging me, so I had to give in and write it. But I am a little disturbed by how complex the story needs to be to accomplish all I want to with it - sigh.

The girl who wrote the 40 part fanfic gives you no sympathy, sorry ;)

Seriously though, take it from me, it is possible. Just pace yourself and try to have the details worked out decently in advance (some of my greatest difficulties came from reaching point D, knowing it had to go to point E, and sitting there going "...well, fuck"). And if you ever would like any help, be it a second pair of eyes or just someone to winge to, I'd be glad to offer my services.

Yes, I thought that might be the case.
I don't think it is going to run to 40 parts and I do have a direction in my head - though experience tells me I haven't thought it through completely, or else I have but something else will occur to me.

Thanks for the offer of a second pair of eyes, might well take you up on that.

Oooh! Sorry for being so late to read this. I saw it, thought, "I need to read this" and then completely forgot about it. Anyway, I'm glad I am now. Very intriguing and I'm looking forward to the next part a lot. Great work!
