LORT SMITH: semi-update.

Dec 15, 2008 00:07

It looks like people are already moving on this, bless them. Here is some info from a forum; I would suggest getting in on this particular petition rather than me starting my own - it's not that I'm too lazy to do this, but it looks much better if there are more signatures on a single petition, than a lot of disparate ones. PLEASE - download this, ( Read more... )

And thank you. For downloading the petition.

Can I recommend that you fix the spelling errors though before printing it out? The good-hearted of the world need a copy-editor.:)

Doilie's off ot a wonderful start, isn't he?

He didn't waste any time in pissing-off every cyclist in Melbourne by saying he'd re-open Swansten Walk to cars and trucks and not kick-out the buses and lingering delivery-trucks...instead, people on bikes should fight their way up to Russell Street (it's not like it drains CityLink or anything), and cut-across to/from the bike-lanes on St Kilda Road / Copenhagen-style lanes up Swanston Street ( ... )

He's a fucking idiot. Between him and Brumby, I don't know what the hell this state is coming to.:(

preferably being run-over by a cyclist bearing a basket o' kittens

Isn't it? The new mayor's decision to open Swanston Walk to traffic again is pretty moronic, too.

Maybe Brumby's wife is going to have all the animals on their farm then.

Well, I've offered to take some in as foster animals, because I'm a sucker.:) So there are a couple she won't have to support.:P

No probs. I spent the morning talking to the head of LS's shelter, and have an update which I'll post publicly as soon as I've got a sec. More detailed info, but the need to pressure the council remains unchanged.:)

Thank you.:)
