I have been summoned for jury duty on October 12th.
Dear lord is jury duty like a big F-U in terms of income.
15$ a day? really?
I'm guessing I can get paid at work, IF I take a vacation day (or days:( ). I only get 8. One assumes I will be sick at least once this year :(
I wonder if they consider teaching one of those occupations where you can't miss your job. It sure feels like one. Leaving my class to a sub long-term would be like ordering them in front of a firing squad.
