When Klaus was born, Violet originally thought that it was to spite her. She loves the color yellow because her mother did. She has nearly died more times then she can count, however before the Baudelaire mansion burned she'd sidestepped it exactly fourteen times (Ten of which were electricity related.) The Baudelaire children didn't go to normal school, and instead were informally tutored by their parents and instructors brought in. There's a small workshop down the hall from her bedroom that is literally filled to the rafters with things in progress. It sometimes galls Violet that she isn't more well read. At one point, she asked her parents for a pony. She's had more then a couple 'weird' dreams about Klaus, and she doesn't even know what to think about them - so she doesn't. She considers herself normal. She loves stripes, specifically yellow and blue ones. She's missing some key social skills and tries to fake it. Her mother used to brush her hair and braid it for her. Her parent's bathroom floor was always cold, but it had the big bathtub. Violet would lay in the back garden for hours, staring up at the blue sky. She wishes she asked her parents to come with them that day, and blames herself for not doing so. She has nightmares or dreams of nothing that she remembers. Roast beef sandwiches are her favorite.
