It's fascinating what one can tell about someone by their home.
By Hannibal's standards, the studio apartment probably seems spartan to the point of masochism. No objets d'art, no musical instrument- no books. A couch, a desk- but on it is simply a laptop (and who knows- Hannibal may well have no idea what the thing is).
The kitchen is a shameful disgrace to a gourmand's eye: few pots and pans, mismatched plates. The bed, however, is a thing of beauty: lavish bedding, a heavy wrought-iron frame, heavy Louis XV reproduction nightstand and armoire.
One can draw their own conclusions about Stephen from that, surely.
