And the Uni Award Goes To...

Feb 26, 2008 21:20

We here at the Uni Awards  (that would be just me...)  are fully aware that the term "most unique" is incorrect, an affront to the English language and a grammatical sin before God and man. As "unique" is defined as one-of-a-kind there can be no levels of uniqueness. Something either is or is not unique. However, I don't care because I like it. It's just the thing for an over-the-top, impertinent little award. Just thought I'd mention that before anyone else did.

The next story from the SSHG Exchange that I want to mention is called THE FRENCH CONNECTION. It is a wonderful little two chapter story and is a thoroughly enjoyable read. What makes it especially noteworthy is the background information that its author,
bluestocking79, provides on her journal HERE. She gives us wonderful research notes, links to info and gorgeous photos of places and sculptures used in the story. If you haven't read it go do so. If you have, re-read it now by opening the story in one window and her journal notes in another. It's Pop-Up FanFic! You can see the story unfold before your eyes by viewing the pictures as you go and then go back and click on links to tour some of the wonderful places within the story. Try it. It is too cool for words!
