Shanghai (2): Shanghai Transrapid
The beautiful Shanghai Transrapid, the world's first and (no longer) only commercial maglev train, the reason I wanted to visit Shanghai in the first place. 30 km in 7 minutes. :sigh: Consider that there's a U.S. patent for magnetic levitation from 1969. (then again gunpowder was invented by the Chinese)
The next time I'll return to Shanghai is probably whenever the Shanghai-Hangzhou maglev is built, if that at all.
