Decemberists

Saw the Decemberists for the nth time Monday evening in San Francisco. I don't listen to their music so often these days (still have a thing for Pinback), but I can't resist seeing them live. They really are getting more and more theatrical every time I see them. Petra's vocals are even more prominent and Colin is getting fat. Watching them open ( Read more... )

Not much different here. There was a ton of makeout action at The Bravery, which unfortunately didn't involve me. Also at both The Decemberists and The Bravery was an incredibly high number of teens. I'm pretty sure I was the oldest person at The Bravery show. Finally, there definitely isn't as much band appreciation shown here as we have in Ontario. People all go nuts because we appreciate anyone who will go there, while here they're spoiled rotten.

I should point out that in Vancouver, I also experience very little band appreciation. Except from the people I go with.

Then again, since you two are types of people I associate with, that probably explains why :P

There was a lot of band appreciation for the Decemberists in SF, although I can tell that most of them became fans when Picaresque came out. In Vancouver, there was perhaps too much band appreciation for Minus the Bear. Depends on the band I guess...

I jsut turned green. you lucky sonuvabitch. I would do just about (and that's "just about") anythign to see them live ONCE. damn kingston and it's lowsiness.
