Change
It's been a long time. I would say a month and a half since maybe most of you have heard from me. A lot has changed, both about me, my views on life and my surroundings. I have been planning my future. I used to believe that I shouldn't worry about the future. I should live life day by day. I have learned otherwise. Though one cannot predict the future that doesn't mean that one shouldn't plan ahead. My direction in life has become clearer to me every passing day. My doubts of being a music major are gone. I have decided that I want to be a director for sure, but still perform for that little extra fun. I am also planning to leave Michigan when I finish my undergrad at Wayne. I plan on moving southwest, probably New Mexico.
I have also found someone. She is great. She goes to Wayne State and is also on a 5 year plan like myself. It hasn't been anything long yet so who knows what will happen. I have no doubts so far so for the time being I am perfectly fine about everything.
I have also started an unpaid internship at the DSO interning for the position of DSO Civic Youth Ensembles Librarian. It's good work and a good experience. Plus, having Ellizar as my boss works out because I know him so well and have no problem taking up tasks for him and what not. Let me tell you, little kids in civic groups = very good musicians (scary).
While I have been here I have come to realize many things about myself and what matters. It gets pretty crazy, but not tooooo crazy. Life is good, and things are finally looking up. Weather sucks but since when has that been any different. Though I do find myself a little stressed once in a while it's ok. Things calm down eventually.
