This is a beautiful post. It reminds me somewhat of John Eldredge's writing (Captivating, Wild at Heart, The Sacred Romance... I know you've heard of him), but it still definitely has your distinction of thought. Your thought about being in love with Thousand Hills, is actually very similiar to how I feel when I listen to Four Seasons. It sounds so simple and almost dumb as I type this, but it's true. Why should we not be in love with our true love's creation? After all, "we love because He first loved us."
My mother always taught me that I should be careful as to what I express to others in speaking, writing, and actions. She taught me this, not so that I would become withdrawn and reserved, but because she saw that you should not unveil and waste your soul on someone that does not love you back.
It's a beautiful thing, when you think about it further in relation to our Lord.
And you are right, I hate the casualness of the fantasies of people being in love with love. It isn't noble or beautiful; it isn't reflective of the virtue of being truly in love. The Joy one must feel when you not only receive love, but are able to love that person back. It must be indescribable.
Love love love you,
