The Birthday Post
Birthday so far has been pretty great. I spent a half hour about two weeks ago making myself a birthday crown using a box of cheese crackers, tinfoil, and tape. I think it's gorgeous. Of course, my sister disagrees, but we don't really care about her. I was considering wearing it on Friday, but it being September 11 it didn't feel appropriate. (Not that anyone at school actually acknowledged that it was 9/11, but I digress.)
I wore the crown this morning to church where I had to stand on a chair and the youth group sang Happy Birthday (BOOM-ching-Cha Cha Cha!). I opened presents at lunch and the one I'm most excited about is The complete series of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. IT'S SOOO PRETTY!! Plus, now I have noise-canceling headphones to watch it uninterrupted. I can watch JAG with them now too. Super excited.
Tonight I got to choose dinner--gorgonzola and ricotta risotto and molten chocolate cake!
