Can't even imagine - actually, I can sympathize. This place doesn't exactly help with blooming out of your rut, does it.

No it doesn't, not in the least.

What kind of field do you work in, out of curiosity?

Engineering. Mechanical, electrical, and computer systems mostly.

But making weapons is half the fun as using them. I'm stuck over here making explosives.

Yeah. When you're in a cave in Afghanistan with an electromagnet hooked to a car battery in your chest as the only thing keeping you alive because someone used one of your own weapons on you, you start to rethink some of your choices in life.
