Author's Note: It's been just under 24 hours since I watched the series finale. I've still not quite processed it, other than a deep and abiding sadness at the manner and fact of Donna's departure. I just cried a fucking bucketful.

Seriously, though. This is beautifully written, love the subtle hints to River, and the innocent way she doesn't know what happened. It is truly lovely, the right sort of homage to a character we all loved.

Now I have to go cry more THANKS BY THE WAY FOR THAT. *uses Doctor/Jenny/Donna family icon*

You're welcome! I haven't cried since I watched it. I thought this story would do it, but I guess I'm just not ready yet.

I think it's so heartbreaking to me that Jenny's living her life, thinking that one day she'll get to see her dad and Donna again, not knowing what's happened.
