Title: A very fair wake up call!
Fandom: Merlin (BBC).
Rating: (G)
Time Period: During season 1.
Summary: Arthur had to wake up some time.
Author's Note: This is quick ‘n’ dirty (for definition see the
F. A. Q. or
check this post for the definition).
This was written immediately after writing
‘Fight for me.’ It’s very cheerful, possibly comical I admit, after the last story.
I also couldn’t help myself after wondering how might Merlin wake up a very stubbornly asleep Arthur!

A bucket of water in hand, his scarf was straightened.
He had to do this.
“Arthur!” It was only fair to give a simple warning before throwing the contents of his bucket onto his sleeping master; he’d been given assurances the water was especially cold - ice had had to broken from its top!
All right. He really ought to be fair about this, he supposed. “Arthur!”
In response? A mumble and turning over. An arm was being held about his head, to keep out the non-existent light, Merlin supposed. Actually, to be fair, he knew it was to keep out his servant’s voice.
“Ar-” The water went flying from the bucket, landing very squarely on the head of the sleeping prince. His head, his shoulders, the entire upper half of his body …
Arthur spluttered, instantly awake. “Merlin!”
The bucket was hidden behind him as he smiled at his incandescent prince. “Yes?”
